That wraps up our coverage of this A League Men's clash between Western Sydney Wanderers and Wellington Phoenix. Thanks for joining me, Zak Brown on Tribe!
It was a poor performance from Wellington Phoenix, who looked out of sorts today and struggled to control possession throughout. Kosta Barbarouses was kept very quiet for the majority of the game and on another day they could have gone down by more than three goals. That is now three straight defeats for The Nix and they will hope to respond at home to Newcastle Jets next up after Christmas. Meanwhile, Western Sydney Wanderers will hope to maintain their positive run of form, when they travel to unbeaten Adelaide United in five days' time.
The full-time whistle goes at CommBank stadium and it's an emphatic win for Western Sydney Wanderers! It was a dream start for The Wanderers, who went a goal up inside the first minute and doubled their lead inside the opening ten minutes. Wellington Phoenix responded well at the start of the second half and found their way back into the game, thanks to some fantastic improvisation from Hideki Ishige, who found the roof of the net with a bicycle kick from close range. However, a double change from Alan Stajcic paid instant dividends, as Marcus Antonsson finished from Gabriel Cleur's low cross in the 66th minute, with fellow substitute Aydan Hammond also involved in the goal. Kosta Barbarouses had a golden chance to set up his team-mate Nathan Walker in the 84th minute, but Alex Bonetig recovered to deny what could have been a grandstand finish. Dylan Scicluna then added a some gloss to the scoreline inside the final minute of second half stoppage time, with a thunderous strike from outside the penalty area that went in off the crossbar. Overall, it was a well deserved performance and result from Western Sydney, who have climbed into the top six!

SCICLUNA ADDS A CHERRY ON TOP TO A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE FROM THE WANDERERS! There is a moment of fortune in the goal, as Scicluna trips over his own feet. Fortunately for him, it took Mohamed Al-Taay by complete surprise. Scicluna quickly picks himself up, before lashing in a shot from just outside the penalty area which crashes off the underside of the bar and bounces just over the goal line! A VAR check ensues, with the game all but up. After a lengthy wait, the goal stands!

Wellington Phoenix control possession in the middle third of the pitch, before coming forward down the left wing. Youngster Luke Brooke-Smith beats his marker and drives towards goal, but his cross is blocked at the near post and Phoenix must settle for a corner.

Penalty appeals from Western Sydney Wanderers are ignored by the referee, after Marcus Antonsson had pivoted past Corban Piper in the box. Piper made minimal contact with Antonsson, who went to ground looking to force a decision out of the referee.
