That is all we have time for tonight. Thanks for tuning in to Tribe's live coverage of this A-League Men's fixture between Adelaide United and Newcastle Jets. I've been Ethan Spencer, until next time.
The Jets will be ecstatic with how things played out tonight, especially with how the team linked up going forward and defended under pressure. Now that they have strung a few good results together, they will certainly believe that the top 6 is still on this season and will keep working hard to produce performances like they have tonight. The Jets stay 11th but close the gap to the Phoenix who sit on 19 points, just one ahead of the Jets. Newcastle will host Brisbane on Friday night, in an all important fixture.
Adelaide will be disappointed with how things played out, despite dominating much of the game but were unable to score convert some good chances. They now move to a five-point gap behind Auckland, who may start to run away with things if Adelaide can't pick up expected wins like tonight's match. They turn their attention to Western United next weekend in a crucial fixture.
Certainly one of the upsets of the season as the Jets continue their fine form against Adelaide who dominated large periods of the game. The Jets got things underway as Lachie Rose netted well from close range in the 37th minute. Stefan Mauk equalised on the halftime whistle to keep their noses in it into the break. Newcastle came out well in the second half, providing pressure in the final third with Clayton Taylor's 55th minute goal that is in the end, the match winner. The Jets will be pleased that they were able to provide this performance giving them some hope heading into the later part of the season.
The Jets provide a shock performance to beat Adelaide away from home after an entertaining fixture!

Final moments in this one as Adelaide pile men forward! They send it towards the area for Tatu but his header is cleared away from danger and that could be it!

CLOSE! Ayoubi sends in a corner from the right and it falls for Alagich at the back post. He fires towards goal but just misses the target as James has to make sure he had it covered.

Two late changes for the visitors as they look to run a few seconds off the clock. Eli Adams and Kota Mizunuma make way for Matthew Scarcella and Will Dobson.
