It's a dark start to the season for Perth. It looks to be more of the same from last season which isn't good news. They were rubbish at times throughout the game. Leaking in defence and cut to bits in the middle. Taggart did all he could and found the net twice in an offside position which he will be frustrated with. Plenty to work on midweek as they take on the Phoenix in Perth next weekend.
Jakolis, Drew and Hollman were simply fantastic for Macarthur. They tore the midfield of Glory to bits with speed and great passing. Uskok and Jurman were solid at the back and organised the midfield nicely. New signing Brattan showed his composure in the middle. The only down side was the Perth goal in the second half but they will be mighty pleased with their efforts in front of their home crowd this afternoon. They will take on the Jets next weekend.
A complete performance from Macarthur at home to open their season as they dismantle Perth Glory 6-1. The damage was done in the first half where they netted 5 goals. They were all over Perth in the midfield and at the back and Glory had no answers. They made crucial mistakes on defence that cost them goals and will be ruing a very rusty performance overall.

Taggart is fouled in the midfield. Slow walk forward for Perth as they look to drive a ball towards the box. Adamson does well to slide a ball away from trouble. Macarthur work it back to the left with Vujica. Into the middle with Brattan as they march over halfway late. Back for Vujica and he drives a shot away to the right from long range! That will do us!

Just a couple of minutes to be added onto the end. Perth try to work the left edge but it breaks down. Macarthur work it back through the middle with Vujica. Into the middle with Sawyer. Adamson looks for Piol at the edge of the box but Perth come away with it.

Macarthur work it from the back again. They feed the left with Scott once more. Rakes it out as they switch it right with Adamson. Inside ball for Piol. He turns and finds Sawyer inside the box! Lebib brings him down but the whistle stays in the pocket! Perth are able to clear.

Macarthur work it down the left again with Scott. He rakes it out under pressure. Kurto comes forward outside the box to push it back upfield into the midfield. Switched back to the right with Adamson. He tries to feed a ball into the box but it is cut out and cleared away by Sail.
