That wraps things up here on Tribe, thanks for joining us for more fast and furious A-League action. We'll be back tomorrow with the final two games from this Unite Round, as Wellington Phoenix take on Melbourne Victory before Macarthur face Auckland back here at Allianz Stadium. See you then.
Sydney FC rise to 5th and level on nine points with the two sides above them thanks to tonight's win. They have a bye next week in the league so turn their attention to two AFC Champions League Two fixtures away in Hong Kong then back in Sydney over the next fortnight. Their next league fixture is away to Central Coast Mariners on 8th December. Western Sydney Wanderers are 10th with four points from five games. They'll look to respond away to Melbourne City next Saturday.
One win from five league games and two derby defeats spells discontent from a Western Sydney Wanderers perspective. They can have few complaints tonight as they were firmly second-best for large spells. Only after falling 3-1 behind did they show a sustained period of attacking quality, as four changes sparked some response. Juan Mata and Marcus Antonsson showed their pedigree when combining from a set piece to make it 3-2, but any hope of a late push was dashed just four minutes later. It's clear from these early rounds that a lot of work is needed defensively by the Wanderers, and it's something Alen Stajcic needs to urgently fix. Conceding at well over two goals a game is no recipe for success.
Ufuk Talay will be absolutely delighted at the way his side came out and responded to the late setback of conceding in first half stoppage time. Anas Ouahim coming on for Douglas Costa may have raised a few eyebrows, but Ouahim showed the class he possesses with key involvements in all three of Sydney's second half goals. Jordan Courtney-Perkins was another stand-out bursting forward down the left for the hosts and putting in a solid shift defensively. This victory makes it three wins from five in the early A-League standings, and gives them a great platform to move forward from.
SYDNEY SEAL ANOTHER DERBY VICTORY OVER THEIR CITY RIVALS! They make it four consecutive wins over the Wanderers thanks to a quick-fire double after the break inspired by half-time substitute Anas Ouahim. His superb free-kick was guided home by the head of Jordan Courtney-Perkins before he calmly slotted home from the penalty spot six minutes later. Marcus Antonsson seemed to have set up a grandstand finish but Patryk Klimala had other ideas. His late run and finish from another fine Ouahim pass secured all three points for the Sky Blues.

VAR RULES OUT JAIDEN KUCHARSKI'S LATE STRIKE! Tiago Quintal wins the ball off Jack Clisby high down the Sydney right. He plays a one-two and flicks a cross in from the edge of the penalty area. Anas Ouahim shows some trickery to help it along before Corey Hollman intelligently heads the ball into the path of Jaiden Kucharski away to his left. Kucharski's free and able to guide a volley with the inside of his right foot into the bottom right corner. VAR checks after the fact and it's clear there was a foul by Quintal on Clisby at the start of the move. The goal is ruled out.
