That is all we have time for on Tribe as Australia make it two wins from two in the Asian Cup. I have been Elliot Thompson, thank you for joining me. Make sure to join us tomorrow for some live coverage of the A-League.
As it stands right now Australia are top of Group B and are already through with two wins from two. Syria still remains in third place after their draw against Uzbekistan in their opening game. They will have to wait and see what the score is in the other game in the group to see if they will stay in that position. Syria play India next as it will be all or nothing for them in that game whilst Australia can relax a little in their next match which is against Uzbekistan.
Syria came so close to taking the lead on a couple of occasions in the first half with a strike from Sabbag hitting the post in the first five minutes. However, in the second half, it seemed that Australia had full control as they limited them to very few chances at Ryan's goal. They will take optimism from this though as they more or less were equal to Australia who were the firm favourites to win the game.
JACKSON IRVINE IS THE MAN OF THE MOMENT YET AGAIN! Australia are through to the knockout stages of the Asian Cup after just two games as they have defeated Syria by just one goal to nil. They found it difficult at times to break down this tough Syrian side but in the second-half Irvine opened the scoring after a brilliant little turn in the box before poking the ball past Madanieh in goal. After that Syria didn't provide too much of a threat until Ryan nearly had a calamity in goal from a long distanced effort but Australia dealt with them well enough to get their second clean sheet of the tournament.

SHOT! The ball is fired into Silvera on the edge of the box. He turns and goes for goal with his right foot with a venomous effort. His strikes flashes just wide of the left post.

CHANCE! Jones breaks forward down the right wing and has space. He puts in a whipped cross looking for Fornaroli who dangles out a leg trying to get on the end of his delivery. The cross has too much pace on it and goes out for a goal-kick.
90+2'
SAVE! Soutarr plays a fantastic pass effortlessly to the left wing to find McGree. The substitute takes on Wes and gets a cross in but Madanieh. The goalkeeper has to react and move his feet to effectively save the drilled cross into the box.

SHOT! Irvine has the ball on the edge of the box and finds Silvera with a floated pass from left to right. Silvera swings a leg at the ball hitting it first-time but he has no control of the strike. The ball flies well off target.
