That is all we have time for today's coverage of the Asian Cup on Tribe as both Australia and Uzbekistan go through to the knockout stages. I have been Elliot Thompson and thank you for joining me. Make sure to join us later for the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg between Chelsea and Middlesbrough.
There would have been Uzbekistan eyes on the Syria game today due to the fact they could have overtaken them to go through and they did beat India but due to the fact Uzbekistan got a point thanks to Turgunbaev's header that game did not matter. So Australia top Group B on seven points whilst Uzbekistan go through in second place on five points. Syria will also have a good chance of being one of the best third-placed sides in the group stages on four points so they may also go through.
Uzbekistan showed some great character today as they defended well with a back five but then managed to get an equaliser when it seemed like the game was getting away from them. Jaloliddin Masharipov came off the bench at half-time and was the standout for them as he created chances on the left flank before getting the assist for the goal. A glorious display from the subsitute.
Martin Boyle scored the spot-kick for Australia and he was a constant threat for The Socceroos when on the ball however it was Kusini Yengi who was by far the standout for Australia going forward. He held the ball up well, showed lovely bits of control and some fantastic determination to fashion out chances for his country. He will have give himself a good chance of getting the nod to start in the round of 16 with that performance.
AUSTRALIA AND UZBEKISTAN ARE THROUGH TO THE ROUND OF 16! It finishes here all square after Uzbekistan got an equaliser after half-time which does indeed mean that both these nations will be in the round of 16 of the Asian Cup. It was a fierce contest today and you would argue that a draw is a fair result due to how even it was. Australia always seemed in control due to dominating the ball but Uzbekistan had periods of possession and they looked threatening on the counter-attack. Also, Australia needed a penalty, which Uzbekistan were not pleased about, to get on the score sheet so Uzbekistan will take huge confidence from that.

SHOT! The ball falls to Metcalfe from a long way out. He chests it and watches it all the way onto his right foot before firing it at goal. The ball swirls just over the bar but Yusupov would have had it covered as it was down the middle.
