That's all we've got time for on Tribe, I'm afraid. Until next time, this is James Messenger saying goodbye!
An impressive display from the hosts, who have delivered a real statement of intent against 10-man Scotland in Munich. Julian Nagelsmann's side were always in control of this one, long before Scotland defender Ryan Porteous' first-half red card for a rash challenge on Ilkay Gundogan, but they continued in a professional and efficient manner after the break and added two further goals to their tally. Substitute Niclas Fullkrug's delightful shot into the top right corner made it 4-0, and although Scotland sent their travelling fans home happy with a consolation goal three minutes from time, courtesy of the head of unwitting German defender Antonio Rudiger, Emre Can would have the final say as he buried a precise shot into the bottom corner with the last kick of the game. The hosts have lift-off in Germany, while Scotland will need to dust themselves down quickly after a bruising night in Bavaria.
An emphatic opening win for Germany!

GERMANY HAVE FIVE! Such an avoidable goal from Scotland's perspective as the hosts have the final say in this Euro 2024 opener. With his back to goal, Muller is given far too much time to roll a pass back towards the edge of the box for Emre Can. The former Liverpool man, who wasn't even part of Germany's squad 48 hours ago, marks his cameo off the bench by opening his body up and guiding a powerful shot into the bottom right corner, just out of Gunn's reach.

It's Germany who come forward again as we enter the final 60 seconds. Time for one more flurry from the hosts, perhaps?

The noise from the stands is without doubt coming from those backing the Scots in Munich! Credit to the visiting supporters, who have turned up in their thousands and been rewarded with a late goal, albeit in fortuitous circumstances.
