That is all we have from Auckland tonight. Thanks for tuning into Tribe's OFC World Cup Qualifying coverage. Until next time, I'm Dan Gread saying goodbye for now.
So the OFC World Cup Qualifying semi-finals are set with New Zealand to face Fiji and New Caledonia to take on Tahiti. Both matches will be played in March 2025 with the final to follow in Auckland for spot in the World Cup up for grabs.
Darren Bazeley will be pleased with his side’s performances over these last two matches. The big names in the side showed their experience while there are some quality youngsters coming through with the likes of Garbett, Stamenic and De Vries putting in excellent performances.
It looks bad on the scoreboard, but Samoa can walk away with their heads held high. They gave it their all on both ends of the ball and snuffed out plenty of All Whites’ attacks. Chote and Setefano were brilliant at the back, but the star of the show was Fatu. He pulled off some spectacular saves in the first half but was beaten by quality shots in the second half. They will take plenty of experience from these Group B matches as they look for more regular international match exposure.
Another comprehensive performance from the All Whites as they put Samoa away 8-0 in Auckland, in the process confirming top spot in Group B of the OFC WC Qualifiers. It was a slightly frustrating start as the first goal took 24 minutes to arrive off the boot of Callum McCowatt as Samoa frustrated the New Zealand attack. From there the flood gates opened with regular goals for the All Whites including a Chris Wood hat trick. They controlled the game to perfection on attack and will be happy with their finishing in the second half as they took full toll of their chances.

The All Whites work the left with De Vries! He drives a ball towards the back post! It falls just in front of Fatu and the ball bobbles back for GILLION ON THE SPOT! Smashes it into the body of a defender and it is hacked clear! Bell on the left edge drives another ball towards the goal! Fatu comes forward to get his hands on it and that will do us!

Fasi joins the play replacing de Groot-Green. Cacace drives in a low ball from the right corner and Samoa are able to clear it away. Samoa hack another ball back through the middle as the All Whites bring it back over halfway slowly with Stamenic.

Toed away for a corner! Cacace comes through the middle. Works it right for Barbarouses inside the edge of the box! Tries to get it across the face but Chote toes it over the byline for the corner.
