That is all we have for you from Edinburgh, thank you for joining our coverage on Tribe. I am Cam Russell, signing off.
Scotland will regroup and head to Twickenham next round to defend the Calcutta Cup, which likely stands to be the most significant piece of silverware remaining for them to win in this competition. There will be concern for the health of Finn Russell and particularly Darcy Graham, with the latter being transported to hospital following a nasty head clash between them. The Scottish team and fans will be holding their breath to see if they will be fit to go in two weeks' time.
Ireland, now sit atop the standings as the only undefeated team following two rounds. It doesn't get much harder for them next round as they head to Cardiff to face an abysmal Welsh side, who are staring down the barrel of a 15th straight test match defeat. Their real test will be the following week at home to France. All up, Ireland is well-placed to defend their Six Nations crown.
Scotland will look at about 20mins of that game and take some positives from that attack, but it isn't much, and it isn't enough if they really want to push for a top-three finish in this year's Six Nations. Their defence did well to scramble on the goal line in the first half, but the pressure ultimately became too much to absorb. Their kicks in play simply were not as effective, with the likes of Prendergast, Lowe and Gibson-Park more than happy to engage in that battle and control the territory game. A late try to White was a mere consolation in a game they need to learn a lot from to take into the next round.
Clinical is the only way you can describe that game by Ireland. Even when Scotland exerted periods of pressure and notched up points, the response was swift and severe. Prendergast continued to steer his team around the park with exceptional kicks in play, pinning Scotland, setting up attacking opportunities for his team and earning him the man-of -the-match award. The double-strike by Lowe and Conan 5mins apart followed 15mins of Scottish pressure, and took all the wind out of their sails.
80+1'
Ireland pack the scrum with the clock in the red. The ball is slung left to Lowe as he crosses the 22. Ireland look keen to rub more salt in the wound. Henshaw stabs a kick through into the in-goal. Van der Merwe looks like he wants to run it out in some desperate hope of a 104m consolation try, but there are only green jerseys to meet him. He is wrapped up, grounds the ball, and brings this game to a close!
80'
A solid scrum by Ireland before the open up play in midfield. Scotland turn the ball over and are again inside their 22. Kinghorn makes a half break, but the ball is knocked on out left.
78'
Scotland claim the deep restart and keep it in hand. Kinghorn tidies up a loose pass in his 22 and Scotland have a long way downfield to go to score. White kicks high and Lowe claims comfortably. No hurry by Ireland here as Prendergast goes to the air also. Scotland knock on, and Ireland will pack a scrum just inside Scottish territory, near the left touch.
76'
No wasted time by Kinghorn as he slots the kick from 20m in from the right touch.
