That wraps things up here on Tribe. A fascinating encounter between two top sides ends all square. We've got all the action from the Premier League on the way tomorrow, including that big North London Derby between Arsenal and Spurs. See you then.
Forest move up to 2nd on 41 points after this draw, six points behind Liverpool having played a game more. Arsenal could regain 2nd and cut Liverpool's lead to four points should they win the North London Derby against Spurs tomorrow. Liverpool are back on the road at Brentford on Saturday, while Forest welcome bottom side Southampton on Sunday.
Liverpool will be somewhat disappointed not to have come away with all three points here. They created more than enough chances in the final quarter of the game, but came up against a keeper and defence in fine form. It wasn't Mo Salah's finest performance as he made a few heavy touches and spurned two or three late opportunities. Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota both came close to a late winner but were denied by Matz Sels. Defensively Liverpool didn't have much to do in the second half, but they did deal well with occasional breaks forward down the wings from Anthony Elanga and Callum Hudson-Odoi. A point away to a side who'd won seven consecutive games isn't bad though.
Nottingham Forest will be delighted to come away with a point from this encounter with the league leaders. It was the perfect start for them, and they deservedly led at the break after a fine defensive rearguard performance. Liverpool cut them open a lot more in the second half though and a corner undid them. Matz Sels showed why he's rated so highly with a number of fine saves late on to preserve the draw, with Murillo also immense in defence tonight. Forest's midfield just dropped off and invited the pressure late on to make it a nervy finish, but in the end it didn't cost the hosts.
A fantastic battle ends with the points shared here. Nottingham Forest surged into an early lead through Chris Wood but couldn't hold on in the second half. Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas instantly combined off the bench from a corner to earn Liverpool a draw. The game really opened up in the final stages and Liverpool seemed the most likely winners. In the end though Forest defended superbly once again to avoid defeat.
90+6'
Diogo Jota surges forward and finds Trent Alexander-Arnold in space down the right. His low ball across picks out Mo Salah on the edge of the penalty area. Forest have numbers around him though and a heavy touch allows Nicolas Dominguez to nick it away.
90+5'
Kostas Tsimikas opts to curl a cross in from the free kick 30 yards out. Murillo once again rises highest and makes a fine clearing header for Forest.
90+4'
Cody Gakpo is really causing problems in these additional minutes here. He surges inside off the left and Ola Aina is forced to bring him down. Liverpool have a free kick 30 yards out in a possible shooting position.
90+3'
Kostas Tsimikas delivers the corner from the right to the near post for Liverpool. Alex Moreno is there to head clear. Forest get out and win a throw down their left.
