But that's all from me for this weekend. It's been a huge weekend of football, and a pleasure to share some of it with you. I'm Carl Allport, bringing it live to you here on Tribe - see you next time!
Both these sides will head an hour or so south to Sydney for Unite Round next weekend. Phoenix will face Adelaide on Friday night, with Jets up against Western United on Saturday.
Wahinix - am I ever going to comment on an away win?? Judging by today - No. Take out Longo (always good), Whinham (dangerous) and Vilao (sound) and you're left with eight starting players who were lacking urgency and looking a step behind their opponents. Jale tried hard but maybe too hard. Only when Fergusson, Wall and then Tanaka came on did the Nix get some front foot action. Those three were good and are surely close to starting after such a downbeat performance from a number of starters. Heads up, Wahinix fans - this team is so close to clicking, they just need a couple of tweaks, some time together and a little luck (incorrect offside, anyone?) and they'll start racking up the Ws.
Newcastle bossed that first half and would count themselves unlucky not to be ahead way sooner than they were. Well, a little composure in front of goal goes a long way. Yet again they created a lot of chances but Gallagher, and her replacement Vicari, were very wasteful. Jackson and Hoban are very good up the middle and Allan dominated that right wing. Davis and Dundas attack from deep and you wonder how they don't score so many more goals. Maybe they will in time and they'll turn into a force to be reckoned with. When they cut out the defensive errors, like today, their attack can win them games. It took an audacious shot from Davis to get them the result today - they'll take that but will need to finish their chances if they're going to play finals football.
The yellow card was the last play of the game as the final whistle sounds and the home fans celebrate loudly. Cassidy Davis's wonderstrike ended up being the difference between the teams here, Phoenix unable to breach the Jets defence in that frantic second spell.

Bobbles about a bit until McMillan hits a blocked shot towards goal. She follows up and clatters Robinson as she claims the high ball and McMillam will earn an avoidable yellow.

All Phoenix outfielders forwards now as the throw comes from the right.
90+6'
Jets slowing it down on the right, eventually losing the goal kick. Vilao long for Jale but Hammond wins that battle!
