Melbourne will be bitterly disappointed not to come away with the win tonight. They dominated position and possession for large parts of the match and had far superior chances on goal than that of the Nix. They managed to find a late goal last week but they were on the other end of that tonight as they conceded late. While Gielnik and Chidiac were solid, they were unable to find the back of the net with their goal coming from the penalty spot on the strike from Jancevski.
Wellington come back late and find a leveller, coming away with a valuable one point as they stop a slide of seven losses in the state of Victoria. Paul Temple and the Phoenix will be pleased to come away with points from this match after being on the backfoot for large passages of play. The injection of Main and Tanaka provided some spark on attack and the cross from Main was an absolute beauty as Elliott rose high and head it home! Wall had a strong game up the left edge while McCutcheon was solid through the middle of the park.

Tanaka and Goad come together on the right edge as the Nix win a throw in near halfway. Worked down the right with Main and Tanaka linking near the edge of the box! Goad keeps it in near the corner as McMeeken goes to ground outside the box. The Phoenix win another throw on the right. McMeeken throws back towards the corner and it is cleared out once more. Another ball is thrown towards the corner and it is taken over the byline by the Nix! That will do us!

Well kept in near halfway by Victory. Murphy tries to send it towards the right edge but there is heavy contact and she gives away the free kick near halfway. Barry sends the kick back up the middle. A loose ball falls outside the box with Jale! She hits from deep but it is well away to the left of the cage.

Victory send it back to the left on halfway. Goad cuts back inside and finds O'Grady down the line! Tries to work it back for Goad but the ball is out for a goal kick. Vilao takes plenty of time setting up before lofting the ball straight down the middle of the park.

O'Grady and Victory work the left edge again. She cuts back inside and flicks it towards the back post but it has too much on it as it is well over the cage. Vilao drives the kick back up the middle as it bobbles around off the lids of the midfielders before Victory win a throw in on the right.

Five minutes of added time. The Victory work a ball down the left edge and win a throw in deep down near the corner. The Nix are able to win it back but Bunge does well near halfway to win it back for her side and turn the play towards the right edge.
