Next up for the Phoenix is a clash with league-leaders Melbourne Victory back home at Porirua Park next Saturday. Make sure you join us on Tribe for live coverage of that one, and more A-League action next weekend. It's been a pleasure bringing you all the action from Perry Park in Brisbane. For now, Harrison Ryburn signing out.
Another clunky effort from the Phoenix across the ditch. It felt like they were on top for long stages of this game, but again, they struggled to piece it all together inside the final third, and were punished for an error at their defensive end. Temple's side pressed with aggression and tempo throughout, winning the ball high up the pitch, amd keeping their opponents pinned inside their own half. When it came to delivering the ball into the area or getting the ball into the middle for a chance on goal, accuracy was sorely lacking though. Brisbane were bang average for much of the first half on the other hand, but gained some inspiration from their 17-year old striker, and should probably have added a second goal late on, striking the woodwork twice. It's another tough result for the Phoenix, and Paul Temple will have to regather his troops as they drop out of the top six.
Full-time at Perry Park and the Wellington Phoenix fall to consecutive defeats on Australian soil with defeat to the Brisbane Roar. It's a Grace Kuilamu goal that seperates the two sides at the final whistle, taking advantage of an error in goal from Carolina Vilao to nod the ball into the back of the net with just under an hour to play. The Phoenix had a lot more of the ball and produced 22 shots, but have been made to pay for missing their chances, and back up last weekend's defeat with another one-goal loss. It's a crucial victory for Brisbane on the other hand, ending their three-match losing streak and pushing up inside the top four.

CROSSBAR! Popadinova bursts out of her own half, and makes a solo run to the top of the box. She takes aim on her right foot from long range, and strikes her effort flush against the base of the crossbar. Vilao is left rooted to the spot, and breathes a sigh of relief as it deflects behind.

Into four minutes of injury-time at the end of this one, and Tanaka sprints into space down the right wing. She approaches the byline, before powering a low delivery into the middle of the box off her right foot. Sekany reads it well though, and gets down to collect at her near post, sparking cheers from the homw crowd.

McCutcheon builds back over halfway with possession for the Phoenix, finding Main down the left wing. The latter opens up for a shot from long range, but her effort deflects wide. The final touch was off the substitute, so the Roar get the goal kick much to Wellington's frustration.

Brazilian winger Mariel Hecher enters the action for the Roar late on.
