That wraps things up from Tribe, but thanks for joining us. This is Ryan Nixon (@NewYorkNixon) signing off.
It's a win that's huge for the Brumbies and their top six aspirations, kicking them clear of the Highlanders in seventh.
For the Highlanders, they had to work hard to stay in this game, but the individual brilliance of Jona Nareki, Caleb Tangitau and Timoci Tavatavanawai kept them within reach for much of the game. Nathan Hastie was arguably their best player with some excellent work at halfback, while Sean Withy and Veneni Lasaqa battled hard in a beaten pack.
There was plenty to like about the Brumbies' performance as they bounced back from the loss to the 'Tahs last week. James Slipper and Allan Alaalatoa were immense early on, setting the tone, while Nick Frost and Tom Hooper toiled hard for 80 minutes. In the backs, Harrison Goddard and Noah Lolesio directed them around the park well, while Andy Muirhead and Corey Toole posed a constant threat out wide. Jack Debreczeni was excellent off the bench too, sparking their attack late in the game.
In the second half, that threat came to fruition, with back to back tries seeing the Highlanders put their noses in front, and the lead then exchanged hands multiple times following. In the end though, the Highlanders' inability at scrum time - much like last week - cost them dearly, as the Brumbies turned scrums into penalties, penalties into territory, and territory into points. A desperate effort at the death following Caleb Tangitau's second was in vain, and the Brumbies end up grabbing the points.
The Brumbies hang on to win it, in a game that flipped back and forth throughout a gripping second half. In the first half, it was largely all the home side, who controlled the game through their pack and the kicking of their halves, and eventually turned that dominance into points to establish a double digit lead. However, there were signs that if the Highlanders could get a bit more pill and get into the right areas of the park, that they could pose a threat.
80+4'
It's put to touch inside the 22, and Bell then finds his man. Nareki crashes into the middle of the park, but next phase the ball is spilled!
80+3'
10 phases for the Highlanders as Nareki beats a couple and gets the Highlanders past the Brumbies 10. Lennox then snipes around the fringes and catches the Brumbies offside! Penalty!
80+2'
There's plenty of intent from inside the 22 from the Highlanders, and a Nareki dart and offload sends Bell to halfway!
