The USA and Samoa produced a nine-try extravaganza but it was the Americans who emerged victorious 40-19 off the back of doubles to Perry Baker, Orrin Bizer and Lucas Lacamp. Samoa struck first in the second half through Vaa Apelu Maliko to close the gap to 12 points but Daniel Patelesio's sin-binning for an air tackle killed their momentum from the restart. The USA took advantage quickly and will retain their status in the World Series next season.
