That wraps things up here on Tribe, thanks for joining us. We've got coverage of Chelsea's final Conference League game and the last Carabao Cup quarter-final between Spurs and Manchester United on the way tomorrow. See you then.
So the Premier League takes centre stage from Saturday, when these two sides meet again at Selhurst Park. Arsenal will look to make it consecutive wins against the Eagles to keep the pressure on at the top of the table. Palace will look to extend their unbeaten run in the league to continue pulling away from the relegation battle. Arsenal will await with interest who joins them in the Carabao Cup semi-finals in January. Newcastle look certain to join them, while North London rivals Spurs face Manchester United tomorrow.
For Crystal Palace this will feel like a big opportunity missed. Despite leading at the break they simply couldn't live with Arsenal's quality and increase in tempo in the second half. To their credit they forced their opponents to bring the likes of Odegaard, Saliba, Saka and Gabriel on to win the tie, and Oliver Glasner will feel his side can achieve a positive result when the Gunners visit Selhurst Park in the league on Saturday after reviewing this game. Jean-Philippe Mateta took his goal well early on, as did Eddie Nketiah late on off the bench. It may have disappointed some of the Palace fans to see Mateta and Eberechi Eze withdrawn on the hour with the game there to be won, as they did lack an attacking threat for much of the second half.
Mikel Arteta has only won one major trophy in his five full seasons as Arsenal manager. They are now within striking distance of making the final here, and will await whoever comes their way in tomorrow's semi-final draw. This was a tough challenge for the Gunners, and one that required Arteta to call several of his star players off the bench. Martin Odegaard's introduction at half-time was crucial, as he gave Arsenal an attacking outlet through the middle with his runs and incisive through balls. He laid on two assists, with fellow substitute Bukayo Saka also showing his quality with an assist straight after stepping off the bench. This hat-trick will do Gabriel Jesus' confidence the world of good ahead of the upcoming festive fixtures, with Arsenal as a whole struggling to find goals in recent weeks. Beyond Jesus and maybe Leandro Trossard, few of the other fringe players given a start tonight did enough to impress.
Arsenal are into the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup! Gabriel Jesus' second-half hat-trick turned this game around for the hosts after Jean-Philippe Mateta's early strike gave Palace the lead at the break. Despite Eddie Nketiah's late header against his former side, Arsenal held on to win this five-goal thriller!
90+5'
David Raya gets a hand on Daichi Kamada's corner from the left. Arsenal scramble it clear for a throw near halfway for Palace. Time is almost up.
90+4'
Jefferson Lerma loops a throw down the left for Palace that Eddie Nketiah gamely chases. William Saliba just gets a nudge on it near the byline and concedes a corner. Dean Henderson comes forward for Palace's last throw of the dice.
90+3'
Jeffrey Schlupp makes a mess of a header from a long ball forward by Trevor Chalobah. His header bounces out for an Arsenal throw near halfway. Jorginho has an issue with cramp as the hosts try to run this clock down.
90+2'
David Raya sends a long kick up towards the far left corner for Arsenal. Trevor Chalobah can only head the ball into touch for an Arsenal throw.
