Full-Time: 7 - 41
The Black Ferns 7s ran in seven tries to one to demolish Fiji 7-41 in the Women's Cup Final in Vancouver. Leading 0-22 at halftime, New Zealand extended their lead soon after the interval when Michaela Brake showed her blinding pace down the right edge to score out wide. Sesenieli Donu provided Fiji with a moment to savour when she powered through Jorja Miller on a strong 40m run to score down the left edge in the 11th minute. 18-year-old Maia Davis showed her pace as she blitzed into a hole and streaked 75m upfield to push New Zealand past 30 points before Mahina Paul pounced on an errant pass to cap a dominant win. The win is New Zealand's second in four World Series events this season as they consolidate their lead over Australia in the standings ahead of the next event in Hong Kong in a month's time.
