That wraps things up from Mt Smart, but thanks for joining us on Tribe. This is Ryan Nixon (@NewYorkNixon) signing off.
For Manly, they knew where they could exploit the Warriors, but just couldn't execute well enough on those early occasions, and then struggled to create those opportunities as they lost control of the match through the middle. Of most concern though will be the injuries to Tom Trbojevic and Daly Cherry-Evans, who both failed to finish the contest.
The Warriors middle rotation adjustment worked wonders tonight, with Erin Clark excellent in a big minute role, while one of James Fisher-Harris and Mitch Barnett always remained on the park. With the impact off the bench of veterans Walker and Ford, as well as late impact from Demetric Vaimauga and Leka Halasima, the Warriors maintained ascendancy through the middle of the park.
Manly were improved in the second half, and were again able to get to the edges to expose the Warriors, with the right wing side in particular proving profitable. However, they continued to cough up key moments, and the Warriors didn't sit on their lead. Wayde Egan's try, and the binning of Jake Trbojevic helped keep the Warriors in command, and eventually they put the game beyond doubt through Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Luke Metcalf scoring late.
That profligacy allowed the Warriors to settle, and with their middle trio of James Fisher-Harris, Mitch Barnett and Erin Clark really laying the platform, the Sea Eagles started to bend through the middle. It resulted in a number of set restarts, and eventually Luke Metcalf and company turned the attacking opportunities into points. With momentum all their way, and some impact off the bench from Dylan Walker and Jackson Ford, they rolled into halftime comfortably ahead.
The Warriors bounce back in style! After an embarrassing opening round defeat in Las Vegas, they come back to Mt Smart and put on a display that will leave their faithful fans smiling from ear to ear. It didn't always appear it would be that way, as the Sea Eagles started fantastically, routinely stripping the Warriors on the edges, and scoring an early try as a result. On another night they might have had a couple more, but didn't quite nail the final moments, with handling and execution costly.

METCALF ADDS THE ICING! Manly tried to launch one last attack, but a floated pass to the left was intercepted by Tuaupiki. He was able to keep it alive for Leiataua, who then found Metcalf back on the inside. He had too much pace and ran away to score under the sticks!
