The All Whites have secured their spot in the OFC Men's Nations Cup final with massive victory over Tahiti. Make sure you join me again on Tribe for live commentary of that final on Sunday, against either Vanuatu or Fiji. It's been a pleasure bringing you all the action from Port Vila this afternoon. For now, Harrison Ryburn signing out.
A very tough day at the office for Tahiti, who were never able to get a handle on the All Whites. Samuel Garcia's side threw 10 men behind the ball and disrupted New Zealand when they last met back in 2022, but he encouraged his men to play with more freedom today, and it totally backfired. Their defence was cut apart with ease, and they lost track of the skill and quality of the New Zealand attacking runners. There was a total lack of attacking presence either, continually giving up possession with a barrage of wayward long balls that presented Crocombe with no troubles. They've improved on their efforts from the 2016 campaign with a knockout stage appearance, but they've still got lots to work on if they want to present a challenge at World Cup qualifying later on in the year. Next up is a third place play-off with the loser of the second semi final.
A walk in the park for the All Whites today, and it felt like a glorified training run for them at times, despite this being a semi-final. The week's preparation they had clearly paid dividends, and they were a class above anything Tahiti had to offer. Tahiti probably pressed higher than Bazeley would have been expecting, but his men were still good enough to expose the space left in-behind and out wide. Again they dictated the possession and tempo, before continually plugging the gaps with Howieson and Rufer distributing the ball around the park well. That allowed the likes of Just, Waine, Barbarouses, and Old to run at the defence, creating an abundance of oppostunities. On another day New Zealand probably could have seven or eight for all the chances they created, but Bazeley will still be a happy man with the comfort and dominance of their display. Cacace was the man of the match at left-back, continually defeating defenders down the left and providing three assists, whilst also adding cover in defence. Waine and Barbarouses will also go away happy with their two goals each.
Fulltime in Port Vila and the All Whites have booked their place in the final of the OFC Men's Nations Cup with a totally dominant five-goal victory over Tahiti. It was never a contest in this semi-final today, with two goals each from Ben Waine and Kosta Barbarouses, alongside a first international goal for Finn Surman, sealing the deal for New Zealand. They'll now get the chance to claim their sixth OFC Nations Cup title on Sunday, with either one of the co-hosts Vanuatu or Fiji awaiting back here in the final in Port Vila.
90+3'
Cacace sends the throw back for Surman in midfield, who holds up play once more. Tahiti manage to pick off his pass, and Degrumelle attempts to orchestrate a counter. He gives it straight to Smith though, and New Zealand will close out the contest with the ball at their feet.
90+2'
Cacace picks off a loose pass inside the opposition half, before settling it back for Smith on halfway. Barbarouses ends up lifting a delivery into the back post of the right, but it's headed behind for a New Zealand throw on the opposite flank. Cacace comes across to take.

90'
Howieson, Just, and Cacace all link up as New Zealand knock the ball across the top of the box. Randall attempts to open up space for a shot this time, but fires straight at the keeper off his right foot, and it's an easy save for Teamotuaitau. We'll have three minutes of added time at the end of this semi final.
89'
Cacace sends the ball back for Smith, and New Zealand regain control of possesion. Surman is no hurry to get forward, before sending it wide for Cacace. The captain links up with Randall, who makes a strong burst down the left wing, but sees his attempted cross blocked at the near post.
