If the 1st half was an even game, the 2nd half was all about Inter taking control. They kept possession for long periods, despite Feyenoord's attempts to get back into the match, as well as making sure the Dutch side didn't get into any dangerous positions. Inter extended their lead 5 minutes into the 2nd half, with L.Martinez finishing brilliantly following Zielinski's blocked effort. They did have an opportunity for a 3rd after 63 minutes, when VAR sent the referee to the screen for Mitchell's challenge on Thuram, and the penalty was subsequently awarded. Zielinski's penalty was well saved by Wellenreuther, which just about keeps Feyenoord in the tie, but it's a mighty big mountain they need to climb next week.
