The game saw a few flashes of brilliance from Bournemouth, notably a save from Kepa to make important saves at the right time in the second half. Newcastle were unable to capitalize on any of their opportunities, and they were punished for their lack of precision. The defense, too, looked shaky, with Schar's substitution not proving to have the desired effect. As for Bournemouth, it was a thoroughly deserved win, with every player contributing to the result. Kluivert’s hat-trick was the highlight, but strong defensive performances from players ensured that Newcastle never really threatened. Bournemouth will be delighted to move closer to the top four, while Newcastle will have to regroup and learn from this defeat.
A sensational performance from Bournemouth sees them clinch a big victory at St James' Park, extending their unbeaten streak to 11 games in all competitions. Kluivert was the star of the show, netting a brilliant hat-trick, including a stunning long-range strike to seal his treble. The Cherries moved to within a point of the top four, further cementing their credentials as one of the league's in-form sides. Newcastle, on the other hand, struggled to get into the game, especially in the second half. They were caught out on the counter several times, and despite a header from Guimaraes that briefly leveled the score in the first half, they never looked like getting back into the match. Their nine-game winning streak in all competitions came to an end, leaving Eddie Howe with a sour result against his former club.

KERKEZ ADDS THE CHERRY ON TOP! Bournemouth continue to press forward as Kluivert slips a pass to Kerkez inside the left side of the box. Kerkez takes on Trippier, evading the defender with ease before unleashing a powerful shot that finds the back of the net, nestling inside the right side of the goal. A clinical finish from Kerkez, and Bournemouth extend their lead.
