Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as Brighton battered Manchester United to record three successive Premier League wins at Old Trafford: I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage: I’ve been Rory Morrow, and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - United host Rangers here in the Europa League on Thursday night before going to Craven Cottage to play Fulham next Sunday evening. Brighton have a clear week to prepare for the visit of Everton to the Amex Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Full credit to Brighton, today. They were excellent throughout and fully capitalised on United's defensive shortcomings. Minteh and Mitoma, out wide, were both unplayable at times, provided a frequent source of attacking width and dangerous, darting runs whenever they got the ball. Both were also clinical when it mattered. Brighton, after the fiasco of the penalty they gave away, kept their composure remarkably calm and, really, outplayed United for all of the second half, getting the goals their play merited. Brighton continue to fly high as they make a good week a perfect one, following up the win at Ipswich Town with this brilliant victory here this afternoon.
Where do we start with Manchester United? Again, they looked very lacklustre in open play and struggled to get Zirkzee, who was isolated up front, in the game much at all. The penalty aside, Fernandes sent a few long-rangers wide but, really, United didn't test Brighton goalkeeper, Verbruggen anywhere near enough. Defensively, they were (again) all over the place with a lack of pace exploited for Brighton's first and second goals as Mitoma and Minteh bossed play from the flanks. Inconsistency continues to plague United's season as they are forced to contemplate defeat whilst remaining firmly marooned in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
BRIGHTON BEAT UNITED AGAIN AT OLD TRAFFORD - Three successive Premier League victories at Old Trafford for Brighton, who complete the double over Manchester United this season! It was a fully merited win for Brighton who went ahead only five minutes in when Mitoma squared for Minteh to score. United levelled but required a Brighton mistake to do so: Baleba fouling Zirkzee to concede a penalty which Fernandes tucked away. United were warned of Brighton's threat again in the second half when VAR denied Pedro a goal. Yet, the hosts didn't heed their warning as, shortly after, Minteh turned provider for Mitoma to restore Brighton's lead. Rutter, off the bench, then profited on indecisive goalkeeping from Onana to add a third, Brighton comfortably seeing the game out to make it back-to-back league wins!

March wins Brighton an attacking throw-in down the right, the ball coming off Yoro and bouncing out of play. Yoro disputes the decision and March, in close proximity, responds by shoving the United man. Yoro pushes him back and although it's all fairly tame, both players are cautioned by the referee.

Maguire, chasing back just inside his own half centrally hacks down Rutter with a lazy tackle from behind. That gives Brighton a free kick as Maguire needlessly earns himself a booking.
