Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as Chris Wood and Noni Madueke exchanged goals as Chelsea were held at home by a tenacious Nottingham Forest this afternoon; I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage; I’ve been Rory Morrow and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - After the international break, Chelsea resume Premier League duty with a trip to Anfield in a fortnight’s time. Nottingham Forest are back in action the next day, hosting Crystal Palace on the Monday night.
That's an excellent point for Nottingham Forest. Hard-fought, too, as they defended brilliantly all afternoon, led by Murillo at the back. Wood, typically clinical, gave them a precious outlet up front. Even when Ward-Prowse was given his marching orders, the Forest backline remained impregnable. When Chelsea did break through, Sels stood firm in goal. Silva and Williams, both off the bench, had chances to even win it for the ten men but this draw is a fine response to last weekend's first loss of the season at home to Fulham.
Chelsea will be frustrated. Having threatened sporadically, they conceded cheaply when Wood pounced on slack defending. Madueke deserved his goal but, chasing a winner, Chelsea lacked composure as Felix, Nkunku and co were repeatedly thwarted by Sels, Murillo and some astounding last-ditch Forest defending. Still, Chelsea remain unbeaten in the league since the opening day despite being unable to make it four successive league wins this afternoon.
A FEISTY ENCOUNTER ENDS EVEN - That was some second half at Stamford Bridge as ten-man Nottingham Forest frustrate Chelsea to take a hard-fought point! Having cancelled each other out before the break, the second half roared into life when Wood scrambled home a close-range finish. Eight minutes later, Chelsea levelled as Madueke, a threat all game, glided in off the right to find the bottom left-hand corner. Forest were reduced to ten men for the closing stages when Ward-Prowse collected a second yellow card. However, they managed the time brilliantly with Sels superbly denying Nkunku. Indeed, Forest almost won it at the death when substitute, Silva's glancing header was saved, superbly, by a sprawling Sanchez! A point apiece as the sides go into the international break.

SAVE - Sanchez excels to keep out Silva's flying header! Yates plays the free kick short to Williams. From the right flank, his cross in is dangerous and Silva, near the penalty spot, glances a header towards goal. Sanchez, flying to his right, brilliantly keeps it out! The subsequent corner is headed out by Fofana, at the near post.
90+12'
Fofana collects another yellow card for Chelsea as he tugs back Silva, roaming down the right of the attacking half, to give Forest a much-needed breather and a free kick, centrally.

SAVE - From range, Williams volleys straight at Sanchez! Elanga, again, did well on the left, drawing in Gusto before cutting the ball back. Williams' shot, whilst accurate, couldn't beat the Chelsea goalkeeper from outside the box.
