The Gunners will feel like they got out of jail for free in Wolverhampton! After the red card in the first half, they were going to be up against but even with a man down they still looked like the better side. Calafiori was excellent from his introduction. The likes of Rice and Martinelli were solid through the midfield and created chances up front. It is an important win for Arsenal, with Liverpool getting the win against Ipswich it allows them to stay in touch in the Premier League race. A trip to Girona midweek for the Champions League awaits before they take on Manchester City next weekend.

Wolves will be bitterly disappointed with their efforts in the second half. After having the man advantage thanks to the red card in the first half from Lewis-Skelly, they squandered their chance with Gomes being shown a second yellow and subsequent red for his challenge on Timber! That opened up the door for Arsenal who took charge! Calafiori netted a beauty hitting a strike back across goal from a deflection inside the Wolves' box and that was the difference! Wolves looked disjointed on attack for large parts of the second half, once again a reflection of their season. They are at home to Aston Villa next weekend.

Arsenal set the corner up on the right edge. They go short looking to work the clock but it dribbles back out over the sideline. Wolves toss it into their own penalty area and it comes across to the right. They drop it back for Sa who pushes back up the right. Driven down the line but only into the path of the Arsenal defence. Hacked clear but Wolves launch one last counter with Cunha driving a ball towards the box! Headed away and that will do it!

Raya is across to take the free kick and sends it deep up the right edge. Lovely work in defence from Agbadou. The ball is turned over on halfway though as Arsenal canter back down the right! Havertz makes a run near the byline. Looks to get it across the face but it is deflected away for a corner.

Doyle drives the free kick towards Gomes on the left edge of the box. Three Arsenal defenders are all over him and force the error over the sideline. They take plenty of time on the throw in, then winning a free kick on the right edge as Gomes gives away the foul in the tackle.

Wolves win a ball back on halfway and Gabriel brings down Hwang this time and gives away the free kick. Wolves go quickly and win another free kick as Partey gets in the way of Cunha this time! Doyle stands over the free kick just over halfway this time.

Five minutes of added time as Calafiori comes down the left. Tries to work a ball into the box but it is headed away by Wolves. Gabriel is fouled back on halfwayas he tries to bring down a aerial contest with Cunha. That one is clearly a free kick and Arsenal are in no hurry to take it.
