It's delight for Uruguay in contrast, who have wrapped up top spot in the group with a 100% win record at the Copa America for the first time in their history. Biesla's side aknowledged the pressure on their opponents, and formulated a gameplan that played right into that mindset. Uruguay were strong and physical in midfield, and just as Panama did, found a way to upset the USA. As do all Biesla sides, they also pressed very well off the ball, ensuring their opponents felt the full force of that pressure on their shoulders. Uruguay took the game by the scruff of the neck at the start of the second half, and found a clinical touch with Mathias Olivera to wrap the three points. There might be some concern for Maxi Araujo, who was forced off in the first half with a nasty injury, but Biesla has to be very happy with the result, and Uruguay enter the knockout stage as one of the favorites to go all the way.
