That's all we've got time for on Tribe, I'm afraid. Until next time, this is James Messenger saying goodbye!
Celebrations aplenty amongst the Spurs players as they hang on to a potentially crucial victory in this Carabao Cup semi-final first leg. They left it late to strike, and it came in somewhat controversial circumstances - teenager Lucas Bergvall firing emphatically beyond Alisson, having been lucky to avoid a second yellow card minutes earlier. The hosts produced a much-improved display following their weekend defeat to Newcastle United and could've won by more, Dominic Solanke seeing a goal of his own ruled out for offside by VAR. A word too for Antonin Kinsky, who only joined the club a few days ago but earns a well-deserved clean sheet on debut. At the end, it's a slender advantage for Ange Postecoglou's men ahead of the second leg on Merseyside on February 6.
A narrow win for Tottenham Hotspur!
90+8'
Still we play! A corner from the right for Liverpool causes panic inside the Spurs box. Jones goes to ground in the midst of things under the challenge of Kulusevski. No penalty, says the referee. There appeared to be contact and VAR took a long, hard look at it, but play is allowed to continue.
90+7'
Inside the final 60 seconds, and Spurs have themselves a free-kick inside the Liverpool half. You'd imagine they'll take as long as possible over this set-piece.
90+5'
PENALTY APPEAL! Diaz bursts away from Pedro Porro down the left-hand side of the box then throws himself to ground after a shove in the back. It was a clumsy challenge to say the least, but the referee says no penalty and a quick VAR check confirms the on-field decision.
90+4'
GOOD SAVE! Now Nunez goes close! Diaz digs out a cross from the left-hand side of the box and Nunez somehow manages to contort his body and turn the ball goalwards. His effort looks destined for the bottom left corner, but Kinsky makes a fine reflect stop to push it round the post.
90+2'
CHANCE! Diaz rises well to try and get his head on the end of Alexander-Arnold's cross from the right, but he does so unfairly, in the eyes of the referee. A stray arm appeared to catch a defender in the face as he jumped, and the referee is quick to blow for the foul.
