That is all we have time for on Tribe as Aston Villa stroll through to the last eight of the Champions League. I have been Elliot Thompson, and thank you for joining me. Stay with us on Tribe as the Madrid derby has gone to extra time!
Club Brugge can be more than proud of their efforts in the Champions League this season. Nicky Hayen has done a wonderful job with splendid performances against Aston Villa, Sporting Lisbon and Juventus in the league phase. Then, in the playoffs, they showed the whole of Europe how good they can be by dismantling Europa League Champions Atalanta. Sloppy errors cost them against Aston Villa in the round of 16, especially the own goal and penalty in the first leg. They started with intent today, but again, a sloppy error cost them as Sabbe was sent off. Nevertheless, their last Pro League game of the season is up next on the weekend before they go into the Championship Group. So there is still a chance they will win the Belgium domestic title. When the season does finish, it would be no surprise to see players like Ordonez, de Cuyper, Jashari and Tzolis have some interest as they have really shown great quality against the very best of Europe.
ASTON VILLA ARE INTO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE QUARTER-FINALS! Unai Emery will be buzzing that he has got his Aston Villa side this far in the Champions League. The big plotline for the last eight is that he will be up against his former club, PSG. What a tie that is set to be! Today, Villa knew they just had to control the game. In the first 15 minutes, they failed to do so; however, Rashford's raw pace got Sabbe sent off. After that, the game deflated as Villa knew they were more than likely through. Emery must have had a stern word at half-time, though, as they flew out the blocks in the second 45 minutes. Substitute Asensio scored twice with neat finishes into both bottom corners, and Maatsen scored a rather scruffy goal after some neat footwork from Rogers. That got the crowd on their feet, and the excitement is certainly growing for the Villa fans as they start to believe they could go all the way in Europe!
90'
Torres has the ball on the halfway line. He passes it over to Konsa on the right flank. Konsa floats a cross into the far post, searching for Rashford. Mechele wins the header, clearing it out of the box. It comes to Vanaken, who then boots it away.
87'
CHANCE! Tielemans plays a pass into the feet of Bailey on the right flank. Bailey runs at Romero and pokes it through to Rashford into the box. The ball holds up slightly, so Mignolet comes off his line to collect it before Rashford can shoot.
84'
Romero steps forward with the ball on the left side. He passes it backwards to Vanaken, who drops into defence. Vanaken sends it long up to Nilsson. He competes for the header with Konsa but the Villa man nods it back to Martinez.
81'
Tielemans hooks the ball forward to Ramsey on the left wing. He runs towards the goal but is held up by Romero. Ramsey lays it back to Maatsen, who plays a one two with Asensio. Maatsen makes his way into the box but cannot make space for a shot.
78'
WHAT A SAVE! Asensio, on the left side, passes the ball to Tielemans. From around 25 yards out, he takes one touch and unleashes a fantastic shot towards the bottom right corner. Mignolet dives to his left, getting a strong hand onto the ball at full stretch. He tips it around the post impressively.
76'
Torres has the ball in midfield. He steps forward, then allows McGinn to take over. McGinn finds Maatsen on the left flank, who carries it forward. He goes forward to Ramsey, who plays a one-two with Rashford into the box. Mechele follows him all the way, sliding in to concede a corner.
