Right then, the umpires and the players are making their way out to the middle, live action is moments away.
So, Afghanistan have won the toss and decided to bat first this time. Mohammad Ishaq makes his debut tonight for Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka have made four changes to their side with Kusal Perera, Kamindu Mendis, Akila Dananjaya, and Nuwan Thushara coming in for this game.
On the other hand, Afghanistan will be disappointed with their two losses. Their bowling did fairly decent in this series, but their batting has disappointed them so far as they have not been able to get going and build solid partnerships. In the first match, skipper Ibrahim carried the bat till the end but couldn't get his side across the line as Afghanistan fell short by just four runs. While in the second T20I, the pressure of chasing a big total got to the Afghan batters as they crumbled away for just 115 runs in 17 overs. The series might be lost for Afghanistan but they would want to end their Sri Lanka tour on a high and try to get a consolation win tonight.
The home side registered a comfortable win in the previous T20I and claimed the series 2-0. Sri Lanka struggled a bit with the bat in the first game, but a few of their batters stepped up in the second game and helped their side post 187 runs on the board. The Lankan bowlers did well in both games. They defended their total in the first match of the series by the barest of margins but produced a better performance in the previous match to bundle out Afghanistan comfortably. The series might have been decided, but Sri Lanka will certainly try to experiment with their line-up tonight and seek whitewash over Afghanistan.
