That's all we have for this one. Stay with Tribe for plenty more Rugby action, including the clash between France and the All Blacks later tonight in Paris. This is Anthony Morgan signing off.
The USA will wrap up their European tour with a clash against Spain next weekend. Tonga will face Georgia in what will be a tough contest in Tbilisi.
Tonga toiled hard throughout but their execution left a lot to be desired. Sione Havili-Talitui provided some nice touches as he ranged wide to set up a couple of tries. Tima Fainga'anuku was a standout on the right wing with several powerful breaks and he deservedly crossed for a try early in the second half.
The United States had plenty of strong performers across the board. Greg Peterson and Vili Helu had a high work rate in the pack and they disrupted the Tongan lineout with multiple well timed taps. Jack Iscaro was powerful in the scrum while out wide Connor Mooneyham and Tavite Lopeti were standouts. Mark O'Keeffe brought huge impact off the bench with his blinding speed.
The USA Eagles went on with the job in the second half as they secured a dominant 36-17 win over Tonga in Chambery. Leading 19-7 at halftime, the United States pushed clear when Ruben de Haas picked off an errant long pass and streaked 40m to score in the corner. Tonga breathed some life into the contest when Sione Havili-Talitui floated a long pass for Tima Fainga'anuku to score out wide. AJ MacGinty burrowed over to score from close range in the 54th but Tonga weren't done as Siaosi Nginingini crossed with 15 minutes to go. MacGinty added a penalty to push the Eagles' lead out to 19 points which remained the final margin.
80'
The USA work it into the midfield where Besag takes it into contact. McVeigh spills it forward at the base as Tonga take possession. Both sides attempt to counter-ruck but Tonga retain the ball before a knock on is ruled on the ground. Time is up on the clock and the referee blows for fulltime.
79'
Tonga shift it wide from the scrum but their hands let them down again as F.Paea spills possession. The USA will have the scrum 35m out.
78'
Pifeleti goes deep with the lineout but Lopeti is unable to haul it in in the midfield. Tonga with the scrum just outside their 22m.
77'
The Eagles produce another powerful shove up front and they are awarded a penalty for angling in. MacGinty finds touch 25m out.
