Australia will go through to what is yet another classic trans-Tasman final against New Zealand, while France will have to settle for fighting for the bronze against Canada.
Australia were huge on defence as well, barely letting France out of their own half after those first few minutes, and putting great pressure on the breakdowns as well. They protected the ball well when they were in possession, and as usual their attacking off the back of their breakdowns and rucks was huge. They offloaded plenty too to keep the ball alive, opening space up around the fringes as a result.
A huge win for Australia! They looked early on like they were under some pressure as France hit the ground running off the kick off, but their try was chalked off and Australia were only too happy to turn the tables and the momentum as they quickly got ball in hand and started to string phases together to ultimately run it in on the other side of the pitch. That was the only score of the first half, but they came out the tunnel in the second half firing, sending Levi in for her second before France were able to get on the board. But it was all she wrote for France, with two more from the Aussies in the last two minutes of the match to close out strong.

Another easy one from out in front, and it's a great win for the Aussie girls to book their spot in the final!

Short restart has only just gone 10, and the Aussie ladies have reclaimed it! Infield through the hands to Nicholas who is caught quickly, but a great little offload puts Levi into the space to sprint away straight up the middle of the park for one more!
