Argentina showed their class as they ran in seven tries to one to thrash an injury-hit Australia 41-5 in the Cup Final in Perth. After a competitive opening, Los Pumas 7s broke the game open midway through the first half with tries to Marcos Moneta and Luciano Gonzalez. A third to Santiago Alvarez gifted them a commanding 17-0 halftime lead before a second try to Gonzalez in the opening minute of the second half killed off any hope of an Australian comeback. Matteo Graziano extended the lead to 29-0 before a long-range try to Hadley Tonga ensured Australia went away with something. Graziano capped a quality showing by Los Pumas 7s with two further tries to complete his hat-trick.
