That wraps up Tribe's coverage of this one, with the Chiefs turning it on in the second half to run away with this game. Stick with us as we have the Reds and Moana Pasifika doing battle in Queensland coming right up. For now this is Stanton Bell signing off, as always thank you for following along - until next time be safe out there.
The Crusaders will be far from happy with that performance, they were in the game for the first 50 minutes but were blown off the field by a Chiefs side that were on fire. The Crusaders defence went to sleep as they allowed the Chiefs to march down field with ease. They will be disappointed with their scrums and lineouts as they gave away plenty of turn over ball that allowed the Chiefs plenty of territory. They had their moments on attack with Will Jordan the main man, but he needed more support as the likes of Havili and Aumua were kept quiet. The Crusaders now head into the bye with their spirits down and last weeks win a long way away.
All over here with the Chiefs putting on a commading display and making a real statement early in season 2025! The first half was pretty even, but when that Chiefs side came out of the blocks in the second half they were outstanding and by far the better side. Jacomb and McKenzie controlled the game perfectly as the Chiefs showed they weren't afraid to thrown the ball around. They were allowed to do this off the back of their forwards laying the platform and not giving the Crusaders and inch on defence. Parker, Finau and Vaa'i were the real standouts, but too be fair you could find a bonus for every player. The Chiefs now go two from two to start the season as they show they are the real deal in season 2025.

McKenzie puts the cherry on top as th Chiefs take a commanding win! That is all she wrote from Hamilton.

Penalty
80+1'
This is the most points the Chiefs have scored against the Crusaders in their history!
80'
Selby-Rickit takes it off the top to Ratima for a carry to the middle. Another advantage for the Chiefs as their forwards go to work in the middle but can't find room so we go back for the penalty with Havili offside. McKenzie will go for the three to wind the clock down.
79'
Another big scrum from the Chiefs as they march the Crusaders backwards and win the penalty once again! McKenzie bangs it down field finding touch on the 10m.
78'
McKenzie's restart goes out on the full, with the Crusaders thinking of taking it quickly but decide against it as they get opt for the scrum feed on halfway.
