England did the damage on the scoreboard in the first half before they clung on in a scrappy second period to beat France 21-42 in Bordeaux. The 21-point win was the Red Roses' fifth bonus point victory from as many outings this season as they secured their sixth consecutive Women's Six Nations title in dominant fashion. With seven tries scored between the sides in the first half, the second ended up being a dour affair as France broke a 30-minute scoring drought when Marine Menager went over for her second try with 10 minutes to go. Any hopes France had of getting back into the contest were thwarted three minutes later when Connie Powell tipped it onto Alex Matthews who sliced through the hole to score the match sealer.
