It was far from perfect but Ireland will be happy to get the win this evening. They were outplayed at times in that second half but managed to come up trumps when it mattered late. Crowley was solid for 60 minutes, while the combination of Ringrose and Henshaw in the midfield was excellent in the first half. Doris and van der Flier had massive games up front and were able to win turn overs at key points! Andy Farrell will still have plenty of work ons before they will take on Fiji next weekend.

It was a fantastic second half from Argentina. They came out of the blocks firing and Mallia scored a brilliant try stepping his way through! The boot of Albornoz kept them close before he missed a field goal! A late yellow card to Kodela as they were on attack proved crucial as Ireland were able to work it back downfield. Oviedo was brilliant for the Pumas tonight. The big man was involved on both sides of the ball. They will head to Paris to take on France in another tough game next week.

WHAT A FINISH! Argentina looked like they were going to steal it at the death but a knock on short of the line sees the Irish hang on and get back on the winning horse!

The Pumas hang onto it with slow ball 10 out just left of the sticks! They want more than the draw! Off the ruck they go again as they cart it towards the middle! Albornoz steps back through the middle! Oviedo is hit in front of the sticks! KNOCKED ON IN THE RUCK! IRELAND HANG ON!

The Pumas bring down the line out on halfway. They swing it into the middle with Albornoz. Out left with Carreras looking to step back inside on halfway near the touch line. Beirne with a good hit back in the middle. The Pumas come back to the middle but Ireland hold them back on halfway. Swung right with Molina. Moroni carts it forward but is hammered back to halfway. Long passage of attack for Ireland as Hansen is dragged down chasing a loose ball back on his 22. Ireland work the left as McCarthy stands in the tackle once again. Beirne is stopped in his tracks 15 out and driven back. Ireland head back to the left with Casey who is caught from behind. The Pumas drive them back to the 22 once again in a strong defensive showing. Going off the fringe is McCarthy up the middle. O'Mahoney carries hard and is 10 out in the middle.
