The Black Ferns 7s were at their ruthless best as they ran in seven unanswered tries to thrash France 43-0 in the first semi final. Leading 19-0 at halftime, New Zealand continued to dominate possession and territory and they extended their lead through Jorja Miller in the opening stages. Kelsey Teneti completed a cracking team try before further tries to Katelyn Vaha'akolo and Sarah Hirini capped a brilliant victory.

Brazier then pops in a grubber down the right edge that is defused initially by France. Brazier counter-rucks and wins possession before an error by Vaha'akolo stunts their progress.
New Zealand opt against taking the conversion.
