New Zealand claimed their fourth title with a tight 17-19 win over Argentina in the Cup Final in Singapore. Leading 5-12 at halftime, the All Blacks 7s got a scare when German Schulz scored in the first minute of the second half to close the gap to two points. An overthrown Argentinian lineout gave New Zealand the breathing space they were looking for when Brady Rush pounced on the loose ball to run 85m to put them up by nine points. Argentina got a late consolation try to Marcos Moneta but that came far too late for them to pinch the win.
