That's all we have for this one. Stay with Tribe for coverage of the clash between the Kiwis and Mate Ma'a Tonga which gets underway shortly at Go Media Stadium. This is Anthony Morgan signing off.
Fiji Bulikula toiled hard all evening and will be disappointed to let it slip through their fingers in the dying stages. Cassie Staples and Vitalina Naikore were huge out of yardage with 400m and four tackle busts from 44 runs. Abigayle Sekitoga (161m) was strong on both sides of the ball throughout the match and she scored a crucial length of the field try on the stroke of halftime. Fiji aren't out of the World Cup race just yet but they will have to go next year's World Series qualifying tournament as they aim to become the eighth and final team at the 2026 event.
Annetta-Claudia Nu'uausala was in colossal form for Fetu Samoa with two tries, two line breaks and a whooping 17 tackles busts from her 14 runs which netted 150m. Sarina Masaga was a potent threat on the right edge with 148m, a line break and three tackle busts while at fullback Evania Pelite was typically solid with 138m and five tackle busts. Young forward Evah McEwen was another standout with 111m and 15 tackle busts.
They left it late but Fetu Samoa have done just enough to edge Fiji Bulikula 16-12 in a pulsating Pacific Bowl Final at Go Media Stadium. Trailing 4-12 at halftime, Samoa started the second half strongly but it wasn't until the 57th minute that they reduced the deficit on the scoreboard. A searching run by Evah McEwen saw her dish a pass to a rampaging Annetta-Claudia Nu'uausala who powered through Luisa Yaranamua to score next to the posts. Both sides had opportunities down the stretch with Teaghan Hartigan and Mercedez Taulelei-Siala both denied within centimetres of the goal line. A late line break by Jetaya Faifua provided the platform for Fetu Samoa to attack as McEwen surged towards the goal line. Nu'uausala then powered over for her second and the decisive try with a little over a minute to go.

NU'UAUSALA PUTS SAMOA BACK IN FRONT! After Faifua's weaving run through the middle of the defence, Samoa work it inside 20m through Nu'uausala who keeps it alive to Papalii who pops a pass over the top to McEwen who is contained close to the line. Nu'uausala then crashes onto a short ball and powers over to score from close range.
