That's all we have for this one. Stay with Tribe for the Men's Pacific Cup Final between the Kangaroos and Mate Ma'a Tonga which gets underway shortly at CommBank Stadium. This is Anthony Morgan signing off.
The Kiwi Ferns toiled hard for the full 70 minutes but they really struggled to crack open the watertight Jillaroos' defence. Mele Hufanga saw minimal ball in the first half but made some impact in the second as she finished with 145m from her 11 runs. Middle forwards Angelina Teakaraanga-Katoa and Alexis Tauaneai were heavily involved with a combined 262m and 49 tackles.
Australia got real value from their left edge where Isabelle Kelly and Julia Robinson kept the Kiwi Ferns' defence on high alert with a combined 382m and 16 tackle busts from their 33 runs. Tarryn Aiken also caused the defence plenty of headaches with her hot-stepping feet as she scored one try and laid on two assists. Millie Boyle was strong up front with 135m and 30 tackles.
The Jillaroos were dominant from start to finish as they cruised past the Kiwi Ferns 24-4 to win the 2024 Pacific Cup. Leading 12-0 at halftime, Australia extended their lead to 18 in the 43rd minute when Tamika Upton regathered her own grubber to score under the posts. A stepping effort by Tarryn Aiken four minutes later ended any hopes of a Kiwi Ferns' revival. While they didn't trouble the scorers in the final quarter, Australia were rarely troubled until a late intercept by Mele Hufanga gave New Zealand some rare front foot ball. In the 69th minute, the Kiwi Ferns had one last chance to post points and they took it as Hufanga shifted it onto Leianne Tufuga who went over to score in the corner.

Quinlan claims the kickoff on the bounce and is tackled on her 10m. Clark is driven towards the sideline before Tauaneai is met solidly near her 20m on the third. New Zealand shift it wide left to Hufanga who streaks away down the sideline before she turns Tufuga inside and she is rounded up on halfway. The siren sounds in the background and the Jillaroos are the 2024 Pacific Cup champions!

TUFUGA GETS A CONSOLATION TRY! After Clark is wrapped up near the posts, New Zealand swing it wide to the left where Hufanga sends Tufuga away on the outside of Sergis to score in the corner. There was some real doubt on the grounding but the Bunker is happy with it and the try is confirmed.
