That's all we have for this one. Stay with Tribe for plenty more Rugby League action in the new year, including the four-match extravaganza in Las Vegas. This is Anthony Morgan signing off.
Papua New Guinea brought plenty of intensity to the contest in the first half but that waned in the second as the Kiwis found space aplenty to run rampant. Rodrick Tai was strong out of yardage with 129m and two tackle busts from 16 runs while Jack De Belin led the way in the middle with 134m and 43 tackles.
The Kiwis were given a real springboard at the back by Keano Kini who lit up their attack with 301m from 20 runs - 205m of which came via kick returns. Casey McLean had a debut to remember with four tries and a try assist as he churned out 174m from 15 runs. Jamayne Isaako completed a strong all-round performance by the back three with three tries and two line breaks in a 'quieter' showing on the right. Joseph Tapine was strong in the middle with 156m and 21 tackles.
The Kiwis piled on the points in the second half as they ran out dominant 54-12 winners over the Kumuls at CommBank Stadium. Leading 22-6 at halftime, New Zealand extended their lead in the 45th minute when Shaun Johnson popped in a pinpoint chip that sat up perfectly for Casey McLean to score his second try. McLean scored twice more approaching the hour mark after a pair of quality assists by Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Johnson. Papua New Guinea pegged one try back when Robert Derby crossed from a Kyle Laybutt grubber with 15 minutes to go. The Kiwis then hit the afterburners in the final 10 minutes as Jamayne Isaako helped himself to two tries to complete a hat-trick either side of a try to Naufahu Whyte.

Rimbu scoots over his 20m before the Kumuls come up with an error through Lam on a shift to the left. New Zealand are in no hurry to set the scrum so that will be fulltime.
79'
The Kiwis aim up in defence before Rimbu scoots over his 10m and keeps it alive. Martin puts in a nothing kick down the middle of the park as Kini collects. New Zealand keep the ball alive as they swing it to the right where Hiku flicks a pass in the tackle to Isaako who spills it into touch 5m out.
78'
Fisher-Harris brings it back from the kickoff before Clark and Tapine take further runs within 12m of halfway. Crossland scoots to halfway on the fourth before Tapine takes another run 35m out. Johnson bombs high to Roltinga who takes it well 1m out from his line.

Johnson's conversion attempt bounces back off the right hand upright from the right sideline.
