For now this is Stanton Bell signing off, as always thank you for following along - until next time be safe out there.
That wraps up Tribe's coverage with the Australians too strong getting the win. We will be back next week with more Pacific Championship action including the Kiwis and Tonga doing battle.
For the Kiwis they had their chances but couldn't get their attack to click as they blew chance after chance. Shaun Johnson and Keano Kini never gave up trying, but they just couldn't get their attack to click and find more points. Fisher-Harris, Neame and Tapine were the standouts in the forwards getting the Kiwis down the paddock, but they struggled on defence to contain the Aussies. The Kiwis defence was also found out on their edges as the green and gold found gaps with ease. The Kiwis need to head back to the drawing board, with their attack being a real focus this week you would think!
All over here with Australia getting the job done as they flexed their muscles to get the win over the Kiwis. It was their defence that was a real standout as they held the Kiwis off countless times, with their edges really standing up and not giving the New Zealanders an inch. Zac Lomax and Xavier Coates were real standouts, starting their sets with real punch while their skills in the air were exceptional. The Aussies forwards had to roll up their sleeves and they did that with Carrigan, Barnett and Collins the real standouts, while skipper Isaah Yeo never took a step backwards. Mitch Moses controlled the game perfectly with his kicking game getting the Aussies around the paddock. The Kangaroos now get a week off before they meet either NZ or Tonga again in the final.
80'
Warbrick starts the set, followed by Riki working it to the 20 getting an offload to Kini for a carry. Whyte works it to the 40 with another offload that ends up with Kini again! Over halfway goes Johnson starting some razzle dazzle as the Kiwis play hot potato! Fisher-Harris ends up with it and loses the ball in contact - that is all she wrote from Christchurch with the Australians getting the job done!
79'
Carrigan starts the set close to the sticks, with a shift back to the left for Dearden once again getting an offload away that goes all the way to the right but Lomax can't tale a tough pass!
78'
Lomax brings it back to the 40, with Trbojevic then to the 40. Over halfway works Murray backing into the defence, before a shift to the left hand side for Dearden to take another carry. On the last Grant chips down field with Coates flying after it, but Isaako gets there first to bat into touch.
78'
To the middle works Isaako followed by Warbrick getting to the 20. Kini is next dancing his way forward to the 30, followed by shift to the right for Kini who slips over. On the last Johnson bangs it down field.
77'
To the right work the Kangaroos with Trbojevic taking a carry. Back to Collins in the middle for a carry, followed by a shift to the left for Crichton but the defence are all over him. Dearden takes on the defence down the short left hand side before it goes to the middle for Burton. On the last, Moses grubbers but Riki traps it.
