That's all we have for this one. Stay with Tribe for the clash between the Raiders and Broncos which gets underway shortly at GIO Stadium in Canberra. This is Anthony Morgan signing off.
The Cowboys head to Brisbane for a Friday night Queensland Derby clash with the Broncos in Round 3. Cronulla will host the Rabbitohs next Saturday afternoon at Sharks Stadium.
The Cowboys were left to rue another poor defensive display as they fell off 38 tackles and the Sharks made them play with seven tries from 10 line breaks. Scott Drinkwater toiled hard at fullback with 162m, a try and four tackle busts. North Queensland's kicking game is another area that needs substantial improvement after halves Thomas Duffy and Tom Dearden put up so many uncontested bombs that made things easy for the Sharks' back three.
The Sharks got real value out of their back five who all played their part in a scintillating attacking display. Ronaldo Mulitalo and Samuel Stonestreet contributed a combined 461m and six line breaks from 36 runs on the wing. Centres Jesse Ramien and Kayal Iro were even more potent with a whooping 20 tackle busts and 300m. Briton Nikora was the pick of the forwards with 120m, a try and 23 tackles on the right edge.
The Sharks ran in seven tries to two as they cruised past the Cowboys 12-36 at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. Leading 6-16 at halftime, the Sharks found the going tougher in the third quarter as North Queensland held firm despite playing a 10-minute stretch with Jaxon Purdue in the sin bin. Moments after Purdue's return, Cronulla extended their lead with cracking long range team try. After Samuel Stonestreet made a break down the right edge, the Sharks spread it back to the left where Braydon Trindall and Ronaldo Mulitalo combined to put Teig Wilton over in the corner. Mulitalo crossed for a try of his own in the 62nd when Will Kennedy stripped the Cowboys for numbers on the left before Stonestreet completed his second try with six minutes to go. Scott Drinkwater pegged one back with a fantastic individual try from the short kickoff but it was only brief respite for the home side as the Sharks capped their win with a late try to Kayal Iro.

North Queensland come up with a result as Duffy dives on the loose ball from the short kickoff. McLean takes a hit up on the second before Cotter spills it forward in contact 30m out. McInnes pounces on the loose ball and drifts off to the right. Ramien and Fonua-Blake take runs over the 30m as the siren goes for fulltime.
