Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as Thomas Tuchel’s England reign got off to a winning start with a professional win over Albania at Wembley, this evening: I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage: I’ve been Rory Morrow, and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - More World Cup qualifiers for both teams with England hosting Latvia here on Monday night, at the same time as Albania host Andorra.
Albania stayed in the match, for large spells, tonight. They weathered the storm and, in a scrappy second half, made England a little nervous when Broja came on, adding a physical presence up front. Albania sat deep and soaked up the pressure very competently with captain, Djimsiti, making numerous interceptions and defensive reads to keep England out. While they struggled to create chances, Albania were effective in nullifying England's attacking play and will look to build on this performance as they aim to reach the World Cup, next year.
A steady performance from England. Bellingham showed his talent with a simply outrageous assist to play in Lewis-Skelly, who finished it off nicely, ensuring that he had a debut to remember! Although he didn't score, fellow debutant, Burn also enjoyed a very solid outing, he won several aerial duels, at both ends and was a particular threat at corners. His partnership with Konsa also worked well. Up front, Kane reminded us all of his class with how he took that second goal, an expertly taken strike that sealed the win. Tougher tests to come but World Cup qualifying is off to the best possible start under Thomas Tuchel.
TUCHEL STARTS WITH A WIN - Thomas Tuchel's England reign gets up and running with a professional win at Wembley as England outclass Albania with two excellent goals to start World Cup qualifying with a win! Lewis-Skelly scored the first on his debut, midway through the first half, after being brilliantly found by Bellingham. England pushed for another before the break but were denied by Strakosha. The arrival of Broja, briefly, ruffled feathers but England did make the game safe with a second goal as captain, Kane produced a fine finish from Rice's cross. Job done for The Three Lions as Tuchel gets off to a winning start.

James wins the ball on the left, inside England's half, and locates Gordon, ahead of him with a good pass. Gordon scoops it intelligently to Bellingham, out on the wing, who drives into the attacking half as England look after possession, down their left.
90+2'
Djimsiti strides up to the centre circle and plays the ball right to Balliu. He rolls a pass into Hoxha, who turns away from Henderson but then overhits a pass forwards, which Pickford races out to boot clear, just outside his own box.

A late, England change sees debutant, Lewis-Skelly depart to warm applause from the Wembley crowd. Having scored the opener, it's been a good night's work from Lewis-Skelly! James comes on in his place.
