That wraps up our coverage of this UEFA Nations League clash between Scotland and Croatia. Thank you for joining me, Zak Brown on Tribe!
Going into the final group game in just three days, Scotland know that a win against Poland will guarantee that they avoid relegation from League A. Meanwhile, Croatia will face off against group leaders Portugal in their final fixture, in a game that will not have much on the line. Portugal have already guaranteed first place in the group and Croatia are still set to qualify in second place.
The full-time whistle goes at Hampden Park and it's a massive three points for Scotland! They give themselves a real chance of survival as they move level on points with Poland, who fell to a heavy defeat away at Portugal. Croatia dominated the first half and should have made that dominance count, but the game took a twist in the 43rd minute as Petar Susic was dismissed for a second bookable offence. Scotland came out in the second half with renewed energy, knowing that they had a real chance to make their numerical advantage count. Despite remaining goalless for much of the second half, both teams had great chances to take the lead. Then in the 86th minute, it was John McGinn who fired the tartan army in front, with a deflected strike from inside the penalty area that nestled inside the right post. Scotland held out strongly defensively for the remainder of the game, despite a late flurry of attacks from Croatia.

Scott McTominay wins a free kick for his side in a wide position, just inside the Croatia half and that should be enough to see Scotland over the line!

We are into the final minute of stoppage time and Croatia are bombarding the Scotland penalty area, but the hosts are holding out. A long throw is launched in by Ivan Perisic, but Andy Robertson hammers the ball clear to halfway.

CLOSE! Marko Pjaca's inswinging cross from the left almost finds Nikola Vlasic in a central position, but Andy Robertson does just enough to make some contact with the ball. Fortunately for Scotland, the deflection bounces kindly into the gloves of Craig Gordon, who gathers the ball safely.

A late Scotland change sees the impressive Ben Doak replaced by Stuart Armstrong. Doak takes in all of the plaudits from the home fans as he makes his way around the ground towards the dugout.

A sustained Croatia attack comes to an anticlimax, with a loose forward pass bouncing all the way through to Craig Gordon. He plays the ball out short, as the hosts look to build an attack of their own from the back.
