That wraps up this game, but be sure to tune in tomorrow as the Nations League action continues. Until then, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
To the visitors' dismay, Havertz won a penalty shortly after and calmly converted it, netting Germany’s fifth goal from the spot. With Hungary’s hopes all but gone, Nagelsmann’s team chose to show restraint.
Hungary still clung to some hope of a comeback, but their chances were dashed shortly after the hour mark when Wirtz fired a precise shot from the edge of the area, bringing Germany closer to their biggest-ever Nations League victory. The goal that sealed that achievement came soon after, with Musiala once again playing a key role by threading a delicate pass to Aleksandar Pavlovic. Pavlovic’s effort slipped beneath Gulacsi, securing his first-ever goal for the national team and cementing Germany’s triumph.
The game turned dramatically in a frantic minute of the second half just before the hour mark. Hungary seemed poised to level the score when Bolla broke free inside the area and appeared set to score, but a crucial last-ditch block by Robert Andrich thwarted what looked like a certain equalizer. However, Hungary's misfortune continued as Germany capitalized on the resulting corner with a counterattack. Musiala took advantage of the opportunity, calmly advancing from the halfway line and firing past Gulacsi at his near post to double Germany's lead.
Too easy in the end for Germany. Julian Nagelsmann’s side nearly took an early lead when Jonathan Tah’s header seemed destined for the far corner, but a crucial goal-line clearance kept the score level. Hungary were under constant pressure in the first half, and despite a swift German attack involving Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, and Niclas Fullkrug, Fullkrug's shot was saved by Peter Gulacsi. However, Fullkrug eventually scored from close range after Musiala squared the ball to him, and Germany's relentless attacks saw Kai Havertz's header hit the underside of the bar, but it bounced the wrong side of the line.

Hungary have possession at the back but are not displaying much attacking intent, seemingly resigned to the outcome of the match. They appear to be playing out the remainder of the game, hoping for the final whistle. Meanwhile, Germany have eased off their pressing, content with what they have as the game draws to a close.

OVER! Musiala earns a free kick in the attacking third, but Germany opt for a short play instead of taking the direct shot. They pass the ball around briefly, and Wirtz eventually cuts inside from the left and takes a shot. However, his effort goes well over the bar, missing the target by a significant margin.

Musiala makes a precise pass to Wirtz on the right flank, who then turns and prepares to deliver a cross into the box. As Wirtz begins his cross, Dardai anticipates the move and blocks the attempt with a well-timed defensive intervention.
