But that's all for me tonight, another Italian performance from the Italians sees off the Belgians in Brussels. The home fans can drown their sorrows in their world-class beers, topped up with fries and mayonnaise (the only proper condiment in this case), as their side will now have to play off to stay in the top echelon of the Nations League. That's all from me, I've been Carl Allport, signing off - see you tomorrow when Denmark host Spain.
Belgium will back up against against Israel in Budapest on Sunday night in what is now a dead rubber for them. At the same time, Italy will surely fancy themselves against France at the San Siro for bragging rights to top this group.
Italy bossed the first 11 minutes, scored the goal and then controlled the rest of the play. Defended as a unit, came forward as a unit, weathered the Belgian storm and good value for their win. It's not even worth picking out a player, they were all Very Good, to a man, which resulted in a comfortable Italian performance.
Belgium huffed and puffed in the second half but to no avail. They were by far the better side late on but Italy stood firm. Faes kept attacking from deep and hit the post, Lukaku with a couple of half-chances couldn't capitalise, Castagne and Trossard creating opportunities without anyone to finish them. Debast kept the score respectable with numerous blocks and tackles. A good performance from the home side, but "good" isn't enough against this Italian side.
And that's the final whistle! Tonali the difference tonight, tapping in from Di Lorenzo's build-up for the only goal of the game Belgium had their chances late but it was not to be.

It's winding down for the home side now as Bakayoko gives up the foul.

Kean has it in the corner, loses the throw and flicks the ball away to earn himself a yellow.

Lukebakio has it on the right in a dangerous area. Upended by Udogie but no foul. Looks like a perfect tackle from the Italian defender - ball, player, the lot.
