Thanks for joining me here on Tribe as Porto and Manchester United played out a 3-3 thriller in Portugal in the Europa League tonight; I hope you’ve enjoyed our coverage; I’ve been Rory Morrow and I look forward to seeing you again soon for another live text commentary!
Up Next - Porto are at home again this weekend, hosting Braga on Sunday, their last game before the international break. United, too, play on Sunday facing a tough trip to Aston Villa in their final match prior to the internationals.
Manchester United, meanwhile, continue to be chaotically unpredictable. The positives for them will be their constant threat going forwards tonight; Rashford was electric, involved in both the opening goals. Hojlund, on his first start this season, looked razor-sharp and fully fit, up front whilst Garnacho, on at half-time, unnerved the Porto defence every time he got the ball. What will frustrate United is their cheap concession of a two-goal lead where their defenders were caught out time and again for each of Porto's strikes. Fernandes getting sent off, for the second successive game after being shown red against Spurs last weekend, is not a good look for the club captain, either. However, it did allow Maguire to take the armband and he led from the front with a fine, late header, keeping his cool, to ensure United took something from tonight. Two points, though, from their first two Europa League games, is not what Manchester United would have been hoping for.
Porto will be, understandably given the timing, devastated not to have seen out what would have been a memorable win against The Red Devils. However, the Portuguese side showed great resolve in recovering from two goals down with Pepe and Galeno constant threats down the flanks. Up front, Omorodion fully deserved his two goals for a dominant display of power and clinical finishing; a match where he really ran de Ligt and Martinez ragged in Manchester United's defence. They, at least, get off the mark with this point in the Europa League, after losing their first match, but conceding late on will mean they're ultimately disappointed not to have taken all three.
A THRILLER ENDS EVEN - What a match! Absolutely chaotic, an end-to-end encounter ends with Manchester United rescuing a late draw against Porto, Harry Maguire coming off the bench to head home an injury-time leveller. That scenario looked unlikely twenty minutes in when United were two goals up thanks to well-taken goals from Rashford and Hojlund. Very quickly, though, their lead evaporated as Pepe halved the deficit before Omorodion thumped home his first to bring Porto back on level terms. Omorodion then added to his tally, battering the ball past Onana as Porto took the lead for the first time. United's task only got harder nine minutes from time when captain, Fernandes, got himself sent off for a second bookable offence. However, the ten men pushed and pushed, eventually finding an improbable equaliser through Maguire who glanced in Eriksen's excellent corner delivery to break Porto hearts and, potentially, keep United manager, Erik Ten Hag, in a job.

MAGUIRE HEADS UNITED LEVEL LATE ON - The substitute, wearing the armband with Fernandes off the field, has struck a huge goal for Manchester United late on! Eriksen's first corner is headed behind for another by Perez. Eriksen, on the right, swings in a second teasing delivery. Centrally, six yards out, Maguire climbs higher than anyone else and plants a textbook header, across Costa, into the top left-hand corner! Have ten-man United salvaged a point in Portugal?
