Barcelona, thanks to that win, move up to second place in the Champions League table on 12 points. Next up for them is a home game against Las Palmas on the weekend. Brest just dropped out of the top eight due to the loss, as they are now in ninth. Their next game is a home encounter against Strasbourg.
Brest looked like they were up for the occasion after a couple of early shots at goal. However, in the first half, the quality difference was obvious. In the second half, the same rhythm continued, with Barcelona dominating the ball. However, Brest though they had got on the scoresheet when Magnetti played Pereira Lage through on goal. On the right side of the box, he buried the shot into the bottom left corner. As he was about to celebrate, the flag went up for offside. So the away fans didn't get to celebrate a goal, but they would have felt immense pride seeing their team compete with Barcelona. Eric Roy's side still have a fantastic chance of going through to the round of 16 of the Champions League.
BARCELONA GET BACK TO WINNING WAYS WITH A ROUTINE VICTORY! Hansi Flick's side jump ahead of Brest in the Champions League thanks to this perfect win. Lewandowski opened the scoring in the opening ten minutes thanks to a penalty. He won it due to Bizot knocking him down from behind. On his right foot, he slotted it in perfectly. In the second half, Dani Olmo scored the second after a couple of lovely touches in the box. He hit his shot at Bizot, but it had enough power to go through him and in. Right at the end, Lewandowski got another with a fantastic sidefooted finish into the bottom right corner. He was just inside the area when he took one touch and finished. That was his 101st Champions League goal. So today, he has entered the 100 clubs alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. A great day for Hansi Flick's side.

LEWANDOWSKI GETS THE CHERRY ON TOP OF A PERFECT GAME! Raphinha wins the ball in the left corner. He passes it quickly onto Alejandro Balde, who crosses low to Lewadnowksi. The forward takes one touch with his right foot. He then finishes past Bizot by putting the ball through the legs of Le Cardinal. A sublime finish!
