That's it for this match, but stay tuned with Tribe as more UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League action is just about to kick off. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
The second half continued the relentless pressure from Galatasaray, with Mauro Icardi heading wide early on and Bardakcı having a shot blocked on the line. Osimhen and Yılmaz both tested Forster again, but the Spurs keeper was kept busy in keeping the scoreline manageable. Tottenham’s task was made even harder when Will Lankshear was sent off for a second yellow card, leaving them a man down. Despite this, Spurs managed a surprise goal through substitute Dominic Solanke, whose clever flick found the net from one of their rare chances. However, Galatasaray were always the more dominant side, and the scoreline flattered Spurs, who suffered their first loss of the league phase.
Tottenham arrived in Istanbul on the back of an impressive week, with victories over Manchester City in the EFL Cup and a thrashing of Aston Villa in the Premier League. However, they were up against a formidable Galatasaray side, who were unbeaten in the Turkish Super Lig and the joint-top scorers in the Europa League. The hosts dominated the first half, taking the lead early with Yunus Akgun’s stunning volley. Spurs briefly leveled through Will Lankshear’s tap-in, but Galatasaray regained control almost immediately. Despite Fraser Forster’s heroics in goal, he was powerless to stop Victor Osimhen from scoring twice, with the Nigerian striker adding a brace before the break. Spurs were fortunate to only be two goals down at halftime, considering Galatasaray’s dominance.

Bentancur is shown a yellow card for his dissent, having voiced his frustrations over Galatasaray's time management tactics. The midfielder's protests earn him a booking as the referee takes a firm stance on maintaining control of the match.
