Not much to celebrate for Vanuatu. Tasip scored a great goal in the first half to tie the score at one each but after that it was all New Zealand as the flood gates opened and they fell apart in defence as New Zealand drove the ball into the back of net time and time again! Brian Kaltak was the best on show for the visitors. Even though his defence conceded eight, without him it could have been a whole lot more. They have to pick themselves up for a must win match against Tahiti on Monday if they are going to go any further in these qualifiers.

New Zealand book a place in the semi-finals with a game to spare after a comprehensive performance in the rain in Hamilton this evening. They completely dominated Vanuatu and took their chances perfectly, netting eight in front of Sablan in the Vanuatu goal! It will be a very pleasing performance for Darren Bazeley. Wood was excellent in front of goal but the standout this evening for the All Whites was Garbett. He was superb and involved in everything up the flanks with searching balls forward and powerful shots on goal!

Vanuatu drive a ball towards the top of the box! They are there to head it towards the goal but it floats over the bar as Crocombe tracks back to make sure of it. Short ball back through the middle as Bell puts Singh in space up the left. Gillion goes forward towards the edge of the box but it is hacked clear in front of him for a corner. Short ball from Bell on the left but the whistle goes and New Zealand come away with the points.

Cacace on the right corner, swings it in! Going up is Singh near the front post and heads it wide of the back post away for a goal kick. Sablan takes his time on the goal kick and drives it up the right. Little nudge in the back from Rufer and he gives away the free kick.

The free kick goes against New Zealand in the middle and Rufer goes in to pinch it after Vanuatu go quickly. Down the right come the All Whites. Cacace at the top of the box hammers one off the right as it is deflected off a defender and away for a corner.

Singh lays it off for Rufer in the middle! Drops a ball over the top for Roux who heads a ball back across the face for Waine! He is reaching out with the left foot in front of Sablan as it goes wide. Up goes the flag as he was offside.

OFF THE POST! Waine is down the right edge! He cuts back towards the top edge of the box and clatters a left footer off the near post! Deflected away for a corner as New Zealand go quickly but it breaks down and Vanuatu clear it.
