That's a wrap for this match as Argentina destroyed their rivals. Thanks for joining Tribe for today's coverage. Until next time, this is Sanil Karan signing off.
Brazil found themselves struggling and on the back foot, but Raphinha almost managed to make the scoreline more respectable when his well-hit free-kick narrowly went over the crossbar, nearly offering a glimmer of hope for the Selecao. Argentina, however, were not finished, and they almost added a fifth late in the game when Leandro Paredes unleashed a powerful drive from distance, forcing Bento into a strong save to parry the shot away. Despite Brazil’s late push, Argentina’s dominant performance saw them not only secure the three points but also solidify their position at the top of the table, while Brazil's disappointing defeat left them worrying as they slipped to fourth, with their World Cup place still not certain.
The second half saw Argentina continue to press forward, with Julian Alvarez coming close to adding his second goal just four minutes in, as his delicate chip was expertly tipped over the bar by Bento. Shortly after the hour mark, Enzo Fernandez delivered a dangerous cross into the box, but Nicolas Tagliafico could only direct his header over the bar at the back post. However, Tagliafico made amends shortly after, when his perfectly weighted ball across the goal line found Giuliano Simeone, who made no mistake, firing the ball off the crossbar and into the top right corner to net his first international goal and put Argentina out of reach.
The first half was full of action, with four goals scored and much more drama. Argentina, already knowing they had qualified for the World Cup, took the lead early as Julian Alvarez slotted past Bento after being set up by Thiago Almada. Nahuel Molina then crossed for Enzo Fernandez to tap in a second. Brazil pulled one back when Matheus Cunha robbed Cristian Romero and scored into the bottom left corner, marking Brazil's first shot of the match. However, Argentina regained control, and despite Bento's save from Almada's strike, Alexis Mac Allister found the net, tapping in a pass from Fernandez to make it comfortable before the break.

Correa picks up the ball on the left and goes on a determined solo run, trying to make his way into the box. However, he's quickly closed down and blocked off by the Brazilian defense, preventing him from making any further progress.
90+2'
OVER! Rodrigo de Paul spots the opportunity as the loose ball falls to him after Bento's poor clearance. He decides to go for a long-range effort, striking it with power and precision, sending the ball sailing towards the top right corner. Despite his best effort, the shot just skims inches over the crossbar, leaving Bento rooted to the spot.
90+1'
Simeone looks to make a run down the left, attempting to weave through Brazil's defense. As he feels the challenge from Wesley, he goes down looking for a foul, but the referee waves play on, deeming it a fair tackle. Argentina are left frustrated as Brazil regain possession and look to push forward.
90+1'
Fernandez makes a clumsy challenge on Ederson, catching him late with a poor foul in midfield. The referee shows the Argentine a yellow card for the reckless tackle.
